Red Ribbon Week challenge tests students' drug prevention knowledge
It was Red Ribbon Week last week and during lunches on Wednesday, we put our middle school students’ drug prevention knowledge to the test!
Tracy Rozanski, a prevention education with CASA-Trinity who works in our district, led students in a spinner wheel activity that tested students’ knowledge on the negative side effects of drugs like alcohol, nicotine and cannabis for a chance to win a fabulous array of prizes.
After, students listed positive things they bring to our school community on construction paper puzzle pieces which will eventually come together to create a large ‘A’ mural that aligns with this year’s Red Ribbon Week theme: Life is a Puzzle.
