Avon Central Schools will once again play host to the Special Olympics Super Regional Track and Field Games.
The event returned to Avon last spring after a two-year absence due to the pandemic.
This year’s event is scheduled for Saturday. May 6.
The event serves as an opportunity for athletes to compete, develop friendships with fellow competitors and experience the joy of success whether that’s winning gold or beating their own personal record.
The games will feature traditional track and field events as well as a softball throw, several walking events and adaptive games, among other things.
