Follow-Up to Yesterday’s Community Post-
Yesterday afternoon, ACS sent a community message in regards to a female student being approached by a man in a green sedan. Through the efforts of Avon PD and the family, the driver of the car was identified. Avon PD followed up with the individual. At this time, there does not appear to be any indication of an ongoing concern.
We thank the Avon student and her family for reporting this matter. While we are comfortable with the outcome, it is important that we work together to reinforce with our students the importance of awareness and safety. We will be reinforcing these concepts at school with students in the coming days.
Lastly, we thank Avon PD for their prompt and thorough response in this situation.
