COVID Updates- Here is the latest information on COVID cases:
Grade 7 student - The student last attended on 10/7/21. Contact tracing did not reveal any additional school-related contacts.
Grade 12 Student - The student last attended on 10/13/21. Contact tracing did not reveal any additional school-related contacts.
Grade 6 student - The student last attended on 10/14/21. Contact tracing did not reveal any additional school-related contacts.
COVID Testing-
Over the last several weeks, we have been working in partnership with other schools and the LCDOH to increase our ability to provide a simple and easy COVID rapid test. These tests are completely optional. Please know they are available as a weekly screening test, or as a diagnostic test in the case of contact or symptoms.
The Weekly Screening Test is completely optional for students. No student is required to engage in the ongoing screening. However, if you would like to opt into the student screening testing, then you can do so by completing the optional survey if you have not already done so. Optional COVID Screening Test for Students
Testing is also available as a diagnostic/response test. If you or your child would like a simple diagnostic COVID test, please send an email to covid.testing@avoncsd.org. You will then receive a Google form to choose a time for your child to be tested along with the consent form and intake form that will need to be completed prior to the test. There are 3 active cases at school. 125 cases in Livingston County and 15 within the Avon community.
