Dear Avon Community,

COVID Updates- Here is the latest information on COVID cases: 

  • On 11/10/21, we were made aware of 2 COVID positives in one 2nd Grade classroom.   Although no additional close contacts were identified, we offered screening testing to members of the room.

  • Today we learned of a 3rd positive in the same Grade 2 classroom.  We have communicated with LCDOH about the classroom.  At this time, there are no required additional actions.  COVID testing was again offered to all members of the classroom.

  • In a separate classroom, we learned of an additional Grade 2 positive.  At this time, there are no additional contacts.

  • Please continue to monitor symptoms closely and have students stay home when sick.    

Diagnostic COVID Testing-

  • As a reminder, testing is available as a diagnostic/response test. If you or your child would like a simple diagnostic COVID test, please send an email to covid.testing@avoncsd.org. You will then receive a Google form to choose a time for your child to be tested along with the consent form and intake form that will need to be completed prior to the test. County COVID Information-

  • There are 169 cases in Livingston County.  9 Cases within the Avon community.

  • As of yesterday, there are 87 cases in Livingston County schools.  5 within Avon.  These cases for Livingston County schools are not reflected in the graph below as the reporting is delayed due to Veterans Day observance and a staff absence.
