SAVE THE DATE: Do you ever think to yourself, “You know what? I’m an incredible singer and more people should know about it”? 

Well you’re in luck, because our Interact Club’s “Rotary Rocks Open MIc Night” is fast approaching! 

This will be the perfect opportunity for our musically inclined River Hawks to share their talents with the broader, Avon community. 

The open mic night is Saturday, April 5, from 7 to 8 p.m. in the Opera Block at 17 Genesee St. Admission is $5 or $3 for performers. 

Those wishing to perform can sign up at the link below. There will also be a physical sign up sheet at the ticket table on the night. 

A concert by “Bob’s Brother’s Band” will follow immediately after the open mic night from 8 to 10 p.m. Admission to the concert is $10.

Through the non-profit Journeys of Solutions, Avon’s Interact Club sponsors two girls, Maria and Rehema, who live in Tanzania’s Karatu District, in the east African country’s northern Arusha Region. Proceeds from the open mic night and concert will go to continue helping Maria and Rehema attend school. 

So come on out, enjoy a few tunes and help support a worthy cause!
