We want to give a huge shout out to all 42(!!!) of our student musicians who were selected for the Genesee Valley School Music Association’s three All-County festivals over the past few months.

We had 23 instrumentalists selected and 19 vocalists selected to these prestigious ensembles, which draw members from across the GVSMA’s 12 member school districts. 

At the elementary grades 4-6 level, students are selected for all-county ensembles based on teacher recommendations. At the junior (grades 7-9) and senior (grades 10-12) levels, students are selected based on their performance at a solofest audition.  

Students selected for the All-County I Festival in Warsaw in January were:

Elementary Band: Keegan G. (6th grade, flute), Jenna T. (6th grade, flute), Lucy T. (6th grade, clarinet), Caden M. (6th grade, alto saxophone), Keaton G. (6th grade, trumpet), Evan V. (6th grade, trumpet), Caitlyn L. (6th grade, trombone), Alijah A. (6th grade, trombone), Beatrix W. (6th grade, euphonium) and Abe H. (6th grade, percussion).

Junior Choir: Julia S. (9th grade), Elena G. (9th grade), Tyler B. (7th grade) Samantha K. (7th grade), Quinn B. (8th grade), Hayden S. (8th grade), Landon S. (7th grade), Nevaiyah D. (8th grade) and Arianna T. (8th grade). 

Students selected for the All-County II Festival in Mount Morris in February were: 

Junior Band: Julianna M. (9th grade, flute), Stephen B. (8th grade, flute), Eli B. (7th grade, clarinet), Elena G. (9th grade, clarinet), Megan K. (9th grade, bass clarinet), Adam P. (8th grade, also saxophone), Tanner S. (8th grade, French horn), Samuel D. (7th grade, trumpet), Gavin S. (7th grade, trombone), Julia S. (9th grade, tuba) and Alana S. (9th grade, tuba). 

Senior Choir: Lucy M. (10th grade), Jackson L. (10th grade) and Ellie T. (10th grade). 

Students selected for the All-County III Festival in Geneseo last month were:

Elementary Chorus: Ellianna S. (6th grade), Aubrie J. (5th grade), Karma C. (6th grade), Maggie M. (6th grade), Ilah R. (6th grade), Luna S. (5th grade) and Lucy T. (6th grade).
