Appreciation:
While we are excited to welcome new members to the Avon Board of Education, we would be remiss if we do not thank our outgoing BOE members.
Mr. Mike Carroll- Mike served on the Board of Education since February. His commitment and dedication were instrumental in helping us to advance the budget propositions. Thank you, Mike. It was clear that you were committed to students and the community.
Dr. Jim Colt- Jim did not seek reelection after serving on the BOE for 15 years (5 consecutive terms). His steady leadership, consistent support, and selfless service helped Avon weather challenges of all sorts. Districts, parents, staff, and students anywhere and in any school would benefit from the partnership of such an authentically good, honest, and dedicated board member in their corner. Thank you, Jim. We appreciate all you’ve done for Avon. The school and community are better because you served.
