Your Avon River Hawks fell to the Wellsville Lions, 1-2, in the Section V Class B2 finals last night in Honeoye Falls to end their season at 15-4.

Our girls nearly tied things up with 2 outs in the bottom of the 7th off a marathon at-bat and subsequent triple from junior Violet P., but the Lions weren’t to be denied.

Congrats to our Hawks on a fantastic season and for battling together until the end - you made Avon proud!
