A belated congratulations to our students who received awards in the 19th annual Digital Media Festival at Strong National Museum of Play last month!
Known informally as The Digies, the Digital Media Festival is an annual conference and festival run by Genesee Valley BOCES’ School Library Service to strengthen the digital media continuum between Pre-K-12 schools, higher education and professional institutions.
Avon students earned the following recognitions:
Graphic Arts: PreK - Grade 3
• Cole K. took 3rd place for a self portrait.
Interactive: PreK - Grade 3
• Mrs. Jennifer Leonard’s and Mrs. Ashley Knapp’s first grade classes tied for 3rd place for their class books about feelings. Leonard's class's book was titled "The Many Feelings of First Grade" while Knapp's class's book was titled "All Different Feelings."

• The ‘Monday Crew’ of Emma D., Hunter R., Caleb C., Amber C. and Megann took 2nd place for season 3, episode 26 of The River Hawk Rundown.

• Aariana A. took 3rd place for her project, “Finding Brucie the Squirrel.”
