At its meeting earlier this week, our Board of Education presented recent retirees Aurora Whiting and Leigh Major with plaques as a token of appreciation for their years of dedicated service to Avon Central Schools and its students. 

Whiting, a special education teaching assistant in the high school, and Major, a high school business teacher, both retired at the end of the 2024-25 school year - Whiting, after 10 years with Avon and Major after 31.
