It was quite a Saturday for Avon at the GLOW Youth Sports Academy’s 2025 soccer championships as two Avon teams captured league titles.

The ‘Avon Green’ team, coached by Liz Stroud and Kate Bennetti, won the 3rd/4th grade Champions League Championship at York High School as a #5 seed without giving up a single goal. 

That same day, the ‘Avon Green’ 5th/6th grade team captured the Europa League Championship at SUNY Geneseo. The team, coached by Emily Cosimano and Jackie Rehberg, gave up only 1 goal through its 3 matches.
