8th grader Lorilye B. took third place Thursday at the New York State Girls Wrestling Championship in Albany!

The #4 seed in the 94-lb tournament, Lorilye went 2–0 through her first two rounds to set up a semifinals clash against #1 seed Tatiana Alexander of Section I’s Eastchester.

She lost a tough 7-4 decision to Alexander, but won her consolation semifinal and consolation final to take 3rd in the division. 

Lorilye finishes her 2025-26 season with a record of 30-1, her lone loss coming to Alexander, the eventual state champion.
