Our softball program wrapped up its annual youth camp last month, bringing 26 third, fourth, fifth and sixth graders together for three straight Saturdays worth of skills-building with our varsity softball athletes. 

“We’ve been doing this the past few years as a way to get the youth of Avon involved with the softball program and teach them some skills along the way,” said Head Coach Jill Terry.

Campers assembled in our high school gym March 7, 14 and 21 for a morning’s worth of sessions on fielding, sliding, hitting, throwing and pitching run by members of our varsity softball team.

Many thanks not only to our varsity players for volunteering their time and energy, but to all our campers who came out last month - the future of Avon softball is looking bright!
