We were delighted to welcome 19 new members to our National Honor Society chapter last week!

Students are invited to apply for membership in Avon’s NHS chapter if they hold a 90-percent cumulative GPA since ninth grade. Invited students then submit a form for the chapter’s advisory committee to review and, ultimately, vote on.

At last week’s induction ceremony, our current NHS president, Maria G., spoke on the history of Avon’s NHS chapter while vice president Jacob K. recounted a few of the service projects the chapter’s been involved in over the past year.  

Then, inductees were called up to sign the chapter’s membership book and accept their induction certificates before the entire 2026 induction class took their NHS pledge to maintain the high standards of scholarship, service, leadership and character that the society is centered on.
