Hawks compete at Special Olympics Bowling in Canandaigua
Students in Karen Henderson’s, Diane Renners’s and Meg Rivera’s classes headed to Canandaigua earlier this month to compete in the Special Olympics Bowling Event at Roseland Bowl!
• Timmy J.S., Tristan B., and Coltin R. competed in the Developmental Sports Experience division.
• Micheal D. and Taylor R. competed in boys doubles, taking first place
• Hunter C. and Conner C. took second in boys doubles
• Amberlynn K. and Jessica C. took second in girls doubles
• Gavin B. and Dawson H. placed 3rd in boys doubles
• Rebecca F. took 2nd in the singles ramp bowling division
• Ian B. placed third in singles ramp
“This is really my favorite event of the year,” said Physical Education Teacher Mac Palmer, who accompanied students to the competition. “Seeing the kids interact with the students from other schools and cheer them on, on top of seeing how excited and happy they were to be bowling, is so special. Taking the students to this event is one of the moments that reminds me why I love what I do!”
