Budget vote and Board of Education election results
Results from today’s school budget vote and Board of Education election are below.
• Proposition #1 (2026-27 Budget Proposal): Passed (266 yes, 141 no)
• Proposition #2 (School Bus Purchase): Passed (279 yes, 128 no)
• Proposition #3 (Approve Spending from Vehicle and Equipment Capital Reserve Fund): Passed (298 yes, 112 no)
• Proposition #4 (Approve $4.570 Million Capital Improvement Project): Passed (253 yes, 156 no)
• Proposition #5 (End School-Based Avon Free Library Tax Levy): Passed (359 yes, 51 no)
• Proposition #6 (Board of Education At-Large Voting): Passed (300 yes, 108 no)
Board of Education election
Stephen Comeau and Rodney George were re-elected to the Board of Education.
Comeau was re-elected to his current seat for another 3-year term with 288 votes. There were 29 write-in votes.
George was re-elected to his current seat for another term with 306 votes. There were 28 write-in votes.
