Nick W. is Class of 2026 salutatorian
While our district is moving away from a top 10 rating system starting with this year’s graduating class, we’re continuing to recognize a class salutatorian and valedictorian.
While the cat’s already out of the bag what with his TV feature last week, we’re still proud to announce our salutatorian for Avon’s class of 2026 is Nicholas Weslowski!
Nick will graduate with a GPA of 103.26 and is headed to Ohio’s Bowling Green State University in the fall, where he plans on studying construction management.
Get to know a bit more about our salutatorian in his Q&A below!

What do you hope your life looks like in 10 years: Working as a construction manager with a family and 2 kids.
Who inspires you to do your best: My brother, Ryan, because he makes me work harder because I want to do better than him.
What’s your favorite place in Avon: Village restaurant because it has great, cheap food
What’s your go-to Tom Wahl’s order: Wahlburger, fries and a root beer.
If you could tell your 8th grade self one thing, what would it be: Grades don't matter as much as you think. Have fun and experience school. It's about learning the material, not getting a 100.
What do you want people to know about what it’s like to be you, to be your age, at this moment in time: Being a twin keeps me motivated because of the competition. It’s kind of stressful because I have lots of big decisions coming up and life is flipping to a new chapter.

What gives you hope about the future: I trust in myself to do good in life and make the right decisions, so I know that the future is bright.
Serve and volley or baseline rally: Baseline rally because I am consistent and it gives more satisfaction after rallying for a while and then winning the point.
Tell me about a time when you were stronger than you thought you could be: Tennis individual state qualifiers my junior year where I almost beat two level 6 UTRs when I was a 5 UTR.
If you had to cook a meal to impress someone, what would you make: Chicken Marsala.
If you could choose a superpower, what would it be: Teleporting because then I would have more time to do everything.
Imagine it’s 2050 and you have teenage kids of your own. What advice would you give your 40(ish)-year-old self about being a good parent: Make them help around the house to build needed life skills and think before acting.
