Avon's Crye named Section V softball 'Player of the Year'

Make some noise for Avon’s own Jessie Crye, who’s been named Section V’s softball Player of the Year by Rochester’s Democrat and Chronicle! 

Jessie, who led your Avon River Hawks to a Section V Class B2 Championship in May, was a dominant force on the mound this season, racking up 283 strikeouts to end her high school career with 1,206, an Avon school record. 

Jessie was also our leading batter, hitting .525, with 15 RBIs and 26 runs scored, despite being walked intentionally 17 times. 

Jessie’s headed to NCAA Division I Florida Gulf Coast University in the fall where she’ll study psychology and play softball for the Eagles.
