Avon students contribute to new Child Advocacy Center mural

Posted Date: 07/28/26 (03:26 PM)

Join us in congratulating our Avon art students who helped create the wall-sized mural now on display in Livingston County’s new Child Advocacy Center in Geneseo!

Middle school students Beatrix W., Conlan M., Scarlett C. and Cheyenne C. as well as high school art students Evie D. and Avery B. teamed up to create one of the 10 mini murals which, arranged together, show a colorful outline of Livingston County.

Our students’ contribution shows Avon’s Five Arch Bridge, a white horse and a growing stalk of corn in homage to the Avon Rotary’s annual Corn Festival.

“Our hope is that when children walk into the CAC, they immediately know this is a space that was created especially for them,”said WNY Children's Advocacy Network co-founder Marcie Prinzi. “While the circumstances that bring them here are heartbreaking, we want them to feel that the support, care, and healing they receive are rooted right here in their own community.”
