Alma Thomas-inspired mosaics take shape in studio art

Liz Patteson’s freshman studio art students wasted no time this morning as they rolled up their sleeves and got to work creating. 

Working in small groups, students used large sheets of construction paper and small lengths of differently colored scotch tape to create their own mosaic murals in the style of Alma Thomas, the trailblazing African American painter.
